| Review: | Horrendous Customer Service Following the volcano our flight from Tokyo to Manchester via Helsinki with Finnair was cancelled. We fully recognise that these were unusual circumstances and that Finnair were froced to delay our flight. However, how we were then treated once our flight was cancelled and finally re-arranged was horrendous. Firstly, when the flight was cancelled Finnair refused to offer any help at all. At every turn we were told they would offer no help and we were simply given a costly phone number to re-book. This cost a fortune and despite hours of calling we only ever got through once. When finally confirmed on a return flight we were forced under duress to sign a form which relinquished Finnair of any responsibility to get us all the way home to Manchester, they would only fly us to Finland. Some staff were rude and abrupt, offering no compasion at a very distressing time. We wil never fly with Finnair again even if this costs more. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Made miss connection due to hostile service I travelled with my 3 children and my baby sitter from Finland to Singapore via London. The tickets were booked by the travel agency and I did not know that they were so called spilt tickets. My flight to London from Finland was with Finnair. They refused to check in my luggage to Singapore refering to their internal regulations. My transfer time in London was not adecuate to bick up luggage in Heatrow airport and check in again. My baby sitter is Filippino, so she could not even go to pick up her luggage because she did not have visa to enter UK. Our luggage was checked fron Singapore to Finland by Singapore airline with no problem and my husband also travelled back from Finland with the same type of ticked 3 weeks earlier. His luggage was checked to Sinagpore. Therefore it is possible to do it. If they wanted to be helpfull they could have been. I was made to miss my connection. The check in personel was also very mean and hostile. I have also always in the past avoided traveling with Finnair because they service is in general very unfriendly. I have also heard similar stories from my friends now afterwards. If you have a choice don't travel with Finnair. Comments [ 0 ] |
