Horrendous Customer Service Following the volcano our flight from Tokyo to Manchester via Helsinki with Finnair was cancelled. We fully recognise that these were unusual circumstances and that Finnair were froced to delay our flight. However, how we were then treated once our flight was cancelled and finally re-arranged was horrendous. Firstly, when the flight was cancelled Finnair refused to offer any help at all. At every turn we were told they would offer no help and we were simply given a costly phone number to re-book. This cost a fortune and despite hours of calling we only ever got through once. When finally confirmed on a return flight we were forced under duress to sign a form which relinquished Finnair of any responsibility to get us all the way home to Manchester, they would only fly us to Finland. Some staff were rude and abrupt, offering no compasion at a very distressing time. We wil never fly with Finnair again even if this costs more. |
