| Review: | Miserable Experience We were delayed from our Alicante to Madrid flight by about 2 hours through no fault of our own. The connecting flight from Madrid to Miami was also delayed. Whenm we got to the boarding gate we were informed that there were no seats available. We found out later that our seats were given away to the stand by passengers. Even though Iberia new our connecting flight had arrived. Over the course of the next 8 hours we were given the run around being directed from information desk to desk. About 5 desks later we were finally booked on the same flight for the next day. We were then directed to the next 2 desks to attempt to get a hotel. We had had enough of Madrid it was close to 10 hours of standing in long lines. We ended up paying for our own hotel at a cost of $150.00. The next day at the airport we spotted an American Airlines desk and transfered our Iberia tickets at a cost of $50.00 which was well worth it. The AA customer service was excellent as the Iberia staff were extremely rude and uncooperative. It was a miserable experience and we will NEVER travel with Iberia ever again. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | LAN-IBERIA Lost luggage: a cooperation between IBERIA and LAN Chile. I arrived to Santiagos airport 3 hours before the departure of my flight to Madrid. The queue was not long and LAN had more than 10 staff on duty at check in. But it took at least an hour to checkin, staff just closed the check-in counters and left a sign: Closed position. After a while they had only two counters open. Most passengers started applauding when the line advanced one passenger at the time. When it was my turn they could not find me on their computer system! I was lucky to have copies of my booking and all details printed. When boarding it was chaos again, they were over-booked. I managed to get onboard. At my arrival to my final destination my luggage did not arrive. Is one week since, this LAN trip was together with Iberia. IBERIA plane was a disaster, I cannot believe that modern airline companies fly intercontinental planes without personal TV-sets. The IBERIA staff was lousy speaking english and when they did it was difficult to hear if they were speaking spanish or english. I have NO news after several phone contact with their offices in Europe. Very arrogant and not service minded personnel. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Worst Airline I Have Ever Flown Iberia is the worst airline I have ever flown on. I traveled over the December holidays with my extended family (10 of us including 4 kids between 5 months and 7 years). After the first leg of the flight we arrived in Boston. Iberia then proceeded to bump half of us off the flight (including some of the children and didn't see a problem saying that the kids could stay in Boston for 2 days and then catch up or go ahead to Europe and wait for the adults. The staff was rude and unhelpful and when we got to Madrid would not deal with us since we didn't speak Spanish. The only English they were willing to use was to swear at us. I even had to get airport police involved so that we could continue our trip and make sure we could get some food and diapers for the baby until we make the next leg of our trip and were able to get access to our bags. I would strongly urge everyone to NEVER fly Iberia. Comments [ 1 ] |
