Review: The worst customers service
I had (and still having) a worse experience with Turkish Airlines. My camera was not admitted to the plane for security reasons and I was forced to leave it in the Tel-Aviv airport. The camera was subsequently transferred to the Turkish Airlines office in Tel-Aviv and from there....it mysteriously disappeared. It took me almost 3 weeks of constant calls and emails just to find out that the camera was in the TLV office after which it was "lost". My camera was Nikon D90 which costs more than 1000$ with some other valuable pieces of equipment inside of the camera case. I have never received any proper response from the Tel-Aviv office and only managed to find one reasonable person in Istanbul who was able to give me this information (please note that I myself don’t live in Istanbul, I live in Geneva). I submitted all the relevant receipts confirming the value of the camera to the airline. After 1 more month I received a very strange call from the Geneva office. The agent was unaware of the whole issue and she said that the airline would compensate me for the lost suitcase (!) 400$. When I explained that it was actually a new valuable camera and that I have given all the receipts to another agent, she was very surprised and promised to get back to me. No news. I contacted Tel-Aviv office again, asking to clarify who came up with the 400$ figure. The answer I got:"Tel Aviv office is not in charge of your complaint any more. Therefore, with all due respect, you should be in contact with the relevant office and departments that are in charge.

Best regards,

TURKISH AIRLINES - ISRAEL
Baggage Claims Department"

Their customer support does not exist and they don't value their customers. Once you have a problem it is impossible to solve it. They simply ignore you. Another interesting question is the "disappearance" of the camera. As things do not just disappear, I assume it was most likely stolen from the office. Conclusion is: Turkish Airlines hires highly unprofessional, irresponsible staff, who is capable of stealing expensive belongings of their customers.

Review: Total rip off!
Horrible! They over booked and our luggage went with the plane and we had to take the next flight. They lost my luggage (as well as 5 others in my party) on our way to Istanbul. I called OVER 20 times and would either get a fake voice mail, disconnected or get rude unhelpful reply. THEY JUST DON'T CARE! They would not take responsibility for their mistake. My friend found our luggage on our way back home in Istanbul lost and found. 14 days later. They still won't take responsibility and they still don't care. Worst airline in the WORLD! They gave us a $250 voucher to use on another Turkish flight or $100 cash. The $100 is redeemable only in New York and I live in California. This is in very small print. A TOTAL RIP OFF!

Review: Worst airline experience EVER
This is by far the WORST airline I have EVER travelled in . I won't write a very long review for fear of boring readers but here's a summary list of the woes that befell the 3 us while on a short holiday over Easter: 1) Flight departure delayed by 2 hours without warning or explanation, when we finally boarded the plane, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes (again no warning or explanation) before we finally took off. After nearly 3 hours of delay the captain explained that they were waiting to collect passengers from another flight (2 passengers delayed an entire plane...) 2) upon arrival to Istanbul, chaos ensued as no one could tell us where the transit DESK was located. We finally realised that by DESK, is meant the one person waiting at the foot of escalators at the bottom of a long corridor. No customer services rep was available 3) the second flight with Turkish airlines was again delayed with no warning for 2 hours and, to make this trip more interesting, the gate was changed TWICE and we were sent running from one end of the airport to the other. 4) The transport shuttle to the plane broke down, we had to walk the rest of the way to the creaky and unstable stairs. 5) mine and other passengers' luggage was broken (literally, with bits of metal sticking out); suitcases were badly torn and seemed to have been opened (nothing taken).
The return trip was even more miserable with delays, frequent gate changes, and even more vandalism of the luggage. The crew lost their patience a few minutes into each flight; the catering was inadequate (they sold out of salmon so we had to eat chicken and they had no vegetarian option even though some passengers had specifically ordered one).
All in all a very disappointing flight. Oh and by the way we flew business class and it sure didn't feel like it. What a waste of money, time and energy!
