| Review: | Southwest: Like airlines used to be From the curb outside the terminal through the whole experience, our Southwest Airlines trip from El Paso, TX, to Orlando, FL, and returnSept. 6-10 was comfortable, fun, and trouble free. I like Southwest, and will fly with them whenever I need to travel and they fly the route, regardless of price. First, they have an all Boeing 737 fleet. That means ample-sized seats. They also provide more knee room than most. The 737 has good-sized windows, seven feet of cabin height, a spacious feeling, and adequate-sized toilet "closets." Seats are leather upholstered. Oh, and big overhead bins. Ground and cabin crew were all pleasant and ready to help or answer questions. We left on time and arrived early. Our luggage was handled quickly and arrived with us. Although there's no in-cabin entertainment options, they still provide beverages and peanuts -- without blocking the aisle with a cart for half the flight. What's not to like about Southwest? Maybe the lack of reserved seats, and the insistence of Southwest Vacations still issuing paper tickets! Ugh! But anyway, they've got my business as long as they keep the 737s and their good attitude. Comments [ 0 ] |
